Happy Thursday! You’ll have to forgive my absence yesterday. Hubby J woke up in terrible pain from a kidney stone and I spent my day with him at Urgent Care and then waiting on his drugged up self the rest of the day! I only have a moment today – dropped him off at the doctor and only have an hour or so until I have to pick him up. Pain meds make it difficult to drive 😉
So continuing with my photo a day challenge…Yesterday’s Day 13 & Today’s Day 14.
Day 13: Favorite Breakfast idea
What I REALLY want for breakfast would be something along these lines:
Obviously since I am trying to lose a few LBs I don’t eat that. This is more along the lines of what I’m eating:
Of course, since I’ve been on the Whole30 plan and can’t have oatmeal, I’ve been eating lots and lots of these:
Have I mentioned I REALLY miss my oatmeal??!!
Day 14: Favorite Snack Idea:
I’m not a huge snacker. Especially since the Whole30 began, snacking isn’t encouraged. Before I started it I would usually just grab a handful of almonds or a banana if I was really hungry in between meals. God forbid if there are cookies in the house because I would pick a cookie every time over anything else

My favorite breakfast is super simple. It’s easy to make, takes 4 minutes total and is filling to get you up and at em in the morning.
Turkey bacon and instant strawberry oatmeal. Total of only 200 calories and the oatmeal fills you up after a hard workout. This is what I will be having tomorrow morning and probably out mornings next week. 🙂
I bought these when my Nike Shocks decided to give out on my after 5 years of running, tennis playing, hiking, etc and stated giving me shin splints. Only paid $50 for them and I’ve really liked them so far. Pretty comfortable, cute and very absorbent when running on a treadmill. There called Nike Evolution or something like that. Sorry, not big into shoe new or brands just as long as they support me in my workout. They are cute, though!
I always think that it would be fun to participate in these photo a day challenges but I never get around to actually doing it! Blakely is doing one that looks fun, so I’m jumping in…12 days late. This one has a lot to do with fitness and works great with my personal fitness goals! I’ll do today (Day 12) and a catch up day until I’ve done them all!
So, here goes…Day 12: Fave Gym Shoes.
My babies. My Nike Run Free 3s. These are the most comfortable shoes that I have ever worn. The best part – I got them at Nordstrom Rack
. These babies cost me $35. I’m going to be sad when I have to replace them because unless I find another deal like that, these will cost me $75 to $100. Completely worth it though! Seriously, best shoes ever.
And for my catch up..Day 1: Monthly Goals. I started the month smack in the middle of a Whole30
challenge, so my main goal would be to finish that with minimum screw ups. I’m not going to lie, I’ve had a few, but I’ve gotten right back to it with a quickness.

Day 9: Gym selfie. They say you’ve ha a good workout if you don’t look pretty at the end. Well…. I guess I killed it today!

Day 10: Outdoors. I didn’t get a picture of the outdoors today…. So I’ll just show you an outdoor picture of downtown Macon. Metro Atlanta life is the best.
Day 11: Workout Partner. We don’t even go to the gym together since we live an ungodly amount of hours away, but this has been my partner for the past 3 months. I’m so happy to call her my sis-in-law and one of my bffs! And isn’t she so stinkin’ cute?!?!?! I think Brooke gets more beautiful each year!
I know I’m a little behind, and I’m actually supposed to be on day 10 right now, but I haven’t been to the gym much this week since I’ve been trying to get every little last bit of detail wrapped up at work. So, I’ll have to catch up on days 9,10 & 11 tomorrow after my morning sweat sesh. 🙂
Day 7: Gym bag. I’ll have to admit, I don’t have a gym bag! I have no need for one at the moment. My gym is literally about a 45 second drive for my house and I go in the mornings or after work after I drop the hubs and the little off. However, if I had one or if I ever get one, I would want something like this

Day 8: Favorite workout song. Right now my favorite song to get my heart rate up to is this. Although, I’ll have to say that my “favorite” song changes every 2 weeks or so. So if you ask again in a month it will have probably gone for this song and onto a few others 😉
